Foundation Training (FT)
This course seeks to establish all new RC staff (regardless of job role) the knowledge of the disability types, basic engagement skills, the practice of
safety and well-being, communication with families, as well as an introduction to person-centered approach in Rainbow Centre.

This course aims to equip all student-facing staff with fundamental skills to plan for effective engagements
with RC students via strategies of using evidence-based learning, structure teaching approaches and what it
means to work collaboratively.

Introduction to TouchChat
This course equips learners with general knowledge about TouchChat app’s features, including customisable vocabulary sets, intuitive navigation, multimedia integration, etc. Learners will understand how TouchChat could be used to support users (i.e. RC students) in enhancing their communication skills.

Introduction to the Rainbow Centre (RC) SPED Curriculum
The course enables learners to identify and explain the RC SPED curriculum domains. Learners will understand how the RC SPED curriculum is developmentally scoped and sequenced to support the diverse needs of students at RC.

This course explores the critical role of assessment in special education, provide insights into effective practices and their application in diverse learning environments similar to the ones in Rainbow Centre. Learners will build a strong foundation in assessment and why it matters in the SPED context.

This course introduces collaborative teaming through co-teaching and co-planning. Learners will explore six co-teaching models, understand the purpose and process of co-planning, and apply appropriate models to meet student needs in RC classrooms.

Proactive & Positive Behaviour Management Level 2 (UTP)
This course equips participants with practical skills to implement and evaluate PPBM strategies in real-world settings. Through case studies and application activities, learners will learn to manage behavioral challenges using proactive and reactive approaches via evidence-based tools such as IBRST progress tracking.

Purchasing Fundamentals for Budget Approvers
This course equips learners with the essential knowledge to evaluate procurement needs, manage budgets, and approve purchases responsibly, while upholding Rainbow Centre’s procurement policies. Learners will be equipped with relevant skills to become confident budget approvers.

Effective Management of Tenders and Vendor Performance
This course equips learners with the essential knowledge and tools to manage the full tender process and monitor vendor performance effectively. Learners will learn procurement best practices, from preparing tender documents and evaluating bids to ensuring compliance with organisational policies.

This course guides learners through the essentials of recognising, reporting, and responding to cybersecurity threats and data breaches. Through focused, scenario-based modules, learners will learn how to take timely and appropriate action as part of RC’s commitment to data protection.

This is a practical and engaging course designed for all staff, secondees, interns, and volunteers. Through short videos and clear examples, learners will learn how to protect sensitive data, use RC systems responsibly, and prevent common security risks. It enables learners to play an active role in keeping RC’s digital environment safe and trusted.

Data Management
This course provides staff with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and organisational privacy policies. Participants will learn how to handle personal data responsibly across day-to-day operations, minimise data breach risks, and respond appropriately to incidents.

Introduction to Research I
This is an introductory course designed to equip RC staff with knowledge on the basics of research in a manner that is relevant to the work in RC. Participants will learn about the purpose of research, how to formulate one, and how to conduct it in RC.

This is the second introductory course on research, designed to provide RC staff with a deeper understanding of research fundamentals. Participants will learn about the types of research, data collection methods, and writing a proposal.
